Dr. Sejal R. Patel is a medical doctor with extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and patient advocacy. Currently, affiliated with the Mayo Clinic as a research collaborator, Dr. Patel focuses on solid organ transplant clinical research and currently holds an academic appointment there as an Instructor in Health Services Research. In their former role as a Senior Program Coordinator in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Patel facilitated the integration of clinical practice and research, driving enhanced initiatives within the department through strategic administrative leadership. Currently, Dr. Patel serves as a Medical Science Liaison at Eurofins Transplant Genomics, overseeing the western territory. As a pancreas and two-time kidney transplant recipient, Dr. Patel brings a unique personal perspective to their professional expertise. Additionally, they are dedicated patient advocates with Donate Life Arizona and the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona, serving as a Path to Wellness core volunteer, championing awareness and support for kidney/all organ transplant recipients and their families.
