Denise Eilers, RN, BSN, a resident of Davenport, IA, is on the Board of Directors of Home Dialyzors United and is also a member of KHI's Patient and Family Partnership Council, NKF's Kidney Living Editorial Advisory Board, NKF's Iowa Nebraska board, ANNA and the steering committee of the Network 5 Coalition for Supportive Care.

She was also the home hemodialysis care partner for her late husband Jerry for 25 years and has presented numerous talks nationwide on the care partner perspective. Denise's nursing background is in geriatrics and long term care administration. Presently, she is an adjunct at Black Hawk College in Moline, IL, and teaches beginning nursing students in the metro Quad Cities. .
