Frank P. Hurst, MD, FASN

ASN Biography
Dr. Hurst is currently a medical officer in the Renal and Transplant Devices Team at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health, the group responsible for the regulation of hemodialysis devices as well as other extracorporeal technologies at FDA. He is a Captain in the US Public Health Service, a part-time staff nephrologist at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI and his nephrology fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He served as a staff nephrologist at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center prior to transitioning to FDA.
